The Design Process

The design process begins with a free, no obligation meeting to discuss your project and receive a free quote based on the scope of work decided. If you then choose to hire us, we will meet again to go into further details on how to get your vision on to paper. We will obtain all necessary information pertaining to the site, municipal by-laws, zoning regulations, restrictions and overall parameters needed for accurate design for the purpose of obtaining a building permit to begin construction. Three sets of preliminary drawings come standard with each project and presented at meetings with you to review and refine your plans every step of the way. After you are satisfied with the design of your project, working construction drawings will be created which can be used for obtaining a building permit and construction! We will be available for complementary consultation to facilitate clearly between the client and builder and/or the municipality what is intended by the design for construction.

Multi-Unit Residential

Townhouses are within our scope of work. We are qualified and have experience in designing multi-unit residences and townhouses up to four units. The interesting thing about this is that multiple four unit townhouses are extremely profitable to develop and using a residential designer can increase your profit margins dramatically. We are able to design multi-unit townhouses up to four units from scratch or renovate existing townhouses. Notice that a lot of townhouses complexes are simply four unit residences all grouped together to form the complex. We are qualified and capable of designing large complexes as long as each individual residence is up to or including four units. An experienced designer for this purpose is important as creating proper space patters and flow between four joining residences can be complex. There are many intricate details that go into creating multi-unit residences that require a knowledgeable designer who is able to create a design that is practical, functional and livable.
